Solo Living Bungalows

About our Bungalows.

Our Solo living bungalows are a natural extension of our high-quality residential children's care. These single-occupancy placements are designed for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, providing them with the dedicated support and therapeutic environment they need to stabilise, heal, and grow.

We offer a child-centred, fully integrated package of care that addresses each young person's emotional and developmental needs. Our aim is to build trusting relationships, promote positive change, and equip each child with the tools they need to develop.

Every placement is informed by a comprehensive assessment of risk and individual need, ensuring the right support is in place from the start.

Who Can Benefit from Solo Living?

Solo occupancy homes are best suited to children and young people who:

  • Have experienced significant trauma, impacting their emotional well-being
  • Struggle with attachment difficulties
  • Require a period of stabilisation in a solo setting
  • Would benefit from individualised attention and consistent care

These solo living bungalows offer a safe, nurturing environment where therapeutic relationships are at the heart of what we do. The focus is on the individual-supporting each child at their own pace and helping them to develop trust, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

Our Approach

Through consistency, structure, and clearly defined boundaries, we help young people begin to feel safe. With this foundation, they can begin to:

  • Develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Re-engage with education through our network of independent schools or onsite learning provision
  • Prepare for reintegration into group settings, foster care, or a return home, where appropriate

Expected Outcomes

Children and young people on our solo occupancy homes typically show:

  • Improved emotional regulation and reduced risk-taking behaviour
  • Strengthened trusting relationships
  • Increased engagement in education and extracurricular activities
  • Greater emotional stability and a stronger sense of safety
  • Progress toward group or family placements when ready

Each journey is different, but the goal remains the same: to help every young person move forward with confidence, security, and hope.
